I am one of those people who get spell checked for every possible spell I write.
I write the occasional book that contains an odd phrase or spell that I think is a perfect fit.
But I never get that dreaded spelling error.
I know because I’m a former writer.
I used to spellcheck a lot of my fiction for the magazine I was writing in.
It was a bit of a slog because the magazine didn’t have much space for me to write in, and I had to write from my notes.
I had written several books, and the editors and publishers were always checking for spelling errors, but I was still writing and editing my own work.
I wrote and edited a lot and had been through a lot.
The spellcheckers were usually pretty forgiving and usually would spellcheck my writing to some degree.
But they’d only spellcheck on the first page, not the second.
So when I started writing a new book, I didn’t really have any time to work on the original manuscript, and my editors would often check my writing for spelling.
